I decided to experiment with different visual designs, which not a good idea if you want to create a coherent program, namely glassmorphism for GUI displayed on the page, and brutalism/cartoon-ish for the options menu.
Not that I think it will ever matter in this case, but I was also inspired by how, in contrast to “serious” software, videogames can have their faults turned into things loved and abused by us, especially those released in a time when updates over the network weren’t doable, allowing for some fun mechanics or speedruns.
